Qasim has just returned to Canada after working with Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, England. He was appointed, as one of 21 actors from across the world, an International Actor Fellow for the 2013 season. Qasim spent his time working with the Globe’s directors, including Raz Shaw, Bill Buckhurst, and Globe masters Glynn MacDonald and Giles Block. Qasim was featured in excerpts of Romeo and Juliet (Romeo) and Twelfth Night (Malvolio), and opened the Fellowship showcase on Monday October 7, 2013 as King Henry from Henry V.
Qasim is also pleased to have been funded to write his first play, The Hiding of Khalid Ibrahim, and will begin writing shortly!
On Friday, November 22 at 9 PM EST, the fourth and final season of the CW hit Nikita will begin airing, and Qasim can be seen in the first episode.
In January 2014, Qasim joins the cast of Acting Up Stage/Factory Theatre’s Canadian National Tour of Do You Want What I Have Got? A Craigslist Cantata. The show will tour Western Canada, making stops at Alberta Theatre Projects and The Citadel Theatre in Edmonton. Stay tuned for more information!
